In Peru, Orazul Energy is dedicated to generating and selling electricity as
well as producing dry natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas and natural gasoline
derived from natural gas. The company develops its business with convern for
the environment and surrounding communities.
Operations include two hydroelectric power stations, one gas thermoelectric
plant and one pipeline generating a total effective capacity of 552 MW.
Furthermore, the company produces 52.5 MMcfd of processed natural gas, 750 Bbl
of LPG, 1,950 of LNG and 1,200 Bbl of natural gasoline. The assets include
transmission lines of 138 kV and 220 kV for interconnection to the national
Located in the Ucayali region, Aguaytia Energy was a pioneer in the natural
gas industry in Peru with the first plant to produce four sub-products: energy,
dry natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas and natural gasoline. These products
supply families in the Ucayali region with gas for their stoves, energy for
their homes and gasoline for their vehicles.
Gas Plant: Located in Curimaná district, west of the Ucayali region, it
provides natural gas to be used as fuel to generate energy.
Fractionation Plant: Located in the district of Yarinacocha, near Pucallpa,
it processes the natural gas to produce LPG and derivatives.
Electricity Power Plant: Located in Aguaytia, Padre Abad district.
All the natural gas processed is able to generate a total of 192 megawatts.
Cañon del Pato
Located in the district of Huallanca, Huaylas Province, Ancash Department,
the hydro plant has an effective generating capacity of 265 megawatts and is a
tourist attraction in Peru.
The Carhuaquero Hydro Plants, with an aggregate capacity of 110 megawatts,
are located in the Cajamarca region, supply power to the cities of Chiclayo,
Piura, Trujillo, Cajamarca, Chepén and Pacasmayo.
